• Collaborate with vendors and internal team to value engineer furniture to achieve target pricing

• Construct functional models and rapid prototyping

• Working knowledge of shop equipment for laser cutting and 3D printing

• Employ Anthropometric data in creating ergonomic products

Design

• Design and refine luxury furniture collections

• Translate licencee and archive 2D design elements to 3D furniture concepts

• Follow and Implement design trends

• Conceive elegant solutions to balance functionality with aesthetics.

• Engage in thoughtful critiques, receiving and offering constructive feedback

Software

• Mastery of Solidworks - experienced in implementing templates and technical drawing standards

• Proficiency in Alias and Rhino including manually manipulating and refining surfaces

• Vast understanding of rendering photo realistic product renders with Keyshot or equivalent software

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

• Proficiency in Office Suite.

Other

• Oversee team of design interns

• Manage vendor relations with factories in Southeast Asia

• International travel to factories and trade shows in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore

• Translate senior designer sketches to CAD for manufacturing
